The title says it all. Although I have yet to watch “Lust, Caution”, the awards do make me want to watch it, just to satisfy the curiosity. I thought Jay Chou’s “Secret” did quite well too, winning a number of awards, including Best Visual Effects and Best Original Film Song. The list of nominees and winners can be found at The Golden Horse Award Competition site.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Shu Qi, on the red carpet, and she presented one of the awards with Aaron Kwok. She even sang one of the songs that was nominated – Blood Brothers. Even more surprising to me was the appearance of Singapore’s Fann Wong and Gurmit Singh. I did not even know we had films that were nominated. Fann Wong presented one of the awards and had to act as intepreter, conversing in both Mandarin and English. I think she needed some practice, as she was holding a big piece of paper in her hand, and constantly paused to read from her script. Gurmit was a joker on the red carpet, but we all know that already 😀

Anyway, I think it is rather encouraging for Singapore film makers. And on a side note, the SEA Games is on! Do support our atheletes!
